One day I had a little baby of my own to sing to and call me “Mommy.” I named her Cassie. By that time there were lots of paintings for her to look at. They hung in the living room, in the dining room, in bedrooms, and even in rooms that were small like the kitchen and the bathroom. Cassie said, “book” and “cat” when she was just eight months old.
